Its upside down from how it formed. This is a stalagmite like formation where the ceiling and wall of a lava channel met. Really unusual drippy specimen. A philosopher stone! So many images in this piece its astonishing. You can sit in front of it and stare for ever and loose it in all the pareidolia images. This rock has a lot of character. Enlarge the pictures and look at the colors and and micro textures and at the base you can see all those clear olivine crystals inside this rock. Great bonsai suiseki viewing stone! Those tiny little blobs are so organic in shape. Picture #8 shows a mans face, even teeth. Actually there are hundreds of faces in this rock the more you stare at it the more you see. Zoom in the pictures and you will see what am trying to explain with words. Holding this unusually micro textured rock in my palm it gives me a feeling of I'm holding an entire mountain like 20,000 feet in elevation. So many crevices and lines that look like miles of ravines, valleys and cliffs. So much depth in such a little rock. Viewing this rock is like reading a book or watching a movie. Just blows my mind that a rock can influence my mind this way. Hope some of you reading this can see in the pictures what I see. Viewing under a magnifying loop is something else. ... This peice is shown wet and dry in photographs. You can apply an oil if you want that high gloss surface. Buyer will receive exact rock shown in pictures.
