Crown Windsor was "top of the line" for the Bostonian brand (it included some shell cordovan models). The condition of these elegant dress shoes is very good. No cracks, no nicks, no scratches, no stains, no odor, no damafe to tge heel box (not on the top edge, not on the interior). The leather vamp remains supple. The soles show very little wear. When I started buying nice shoes (1980s), I eschewed rubber soles or sole protectors. As I got older and wiser, rubber soles, or part rubber sole plates, were the wiser choice; better traction, better longevity. Also, for long days, I think a Derby is preferred to an Oxford. A Derby (with open lacing) allows for adjustment of the shoe tightness. An Oxford (with closed lacing) does not. I'm a retired lawyer downsizing. These nice dress shoes should be in use, and not gathering dust in a closet. For sale, these have again been cleaned, conditioned and polished. Smoke free, pet free home.
