Description: A Royal Mail First Day Cover - TENNYSON (10/03/1992) - Hand signed by the actor Brian Murphy. The FDC features a graphic of the Charge of the Light Brigade along with two date stamps, each identical and detailing the folllowing; 'Alfred Lord Tennyson 1892-1992' - 'Peninsula Barracks Winchester- - with a stamped image of the Charge of the Light Brigade and the date 10/3/92. There are 4 stamps each depicting the poet Tennyson at various stages of his life, denominations are 24p, 28p, 33p and 39p. Inside the insert details a short 'biography' of Tennyson along with a descriptive for each stamp. The front of the cover is hand signed by the actor, Brian Murphy. He is best known as the henpecked husband, George Roper, in the popular 70's sitcom 'Man About The House and it's spin off series, George and Mildred. He later went on to play Alvin Smedley in the Last of the Summer Wine.
