Description: F-J-V Broussais, Histoire des Phlegmasies,ou Inflammtions Chroniques Gabon, Psris 1822 Vols I and II ( complete) Not sure how to describe them in one word.. .. These thick books were published with paper covers and paper backstrips..I suppose it was common for buyers at that time to bind the books to suit their own taste; but these books were neve rebound... All pages are there ..There is minimal foxing and no stains ( eg water stains ) that I see..... Volume II is split int two , but Volume I is OK in this regard, but it certainly couldnt survive any real use. ..The covers were apparently just plain blue paper. Only one original cover remains ( the backstrips are stii OK. I have made some facsimile blue paper covers, but it is apparent that these are new , and no attempt was made to try to make them look 100 years old. All of these things are shown in the pictures. I am also listing a large group of othe antiquarian books on tuberculosis.. These are all books with hard boards
