Single issue of The Lark, the well-known San Francisco humor magazine founded in 1895 by Gelett Burgess and William Doxey. The little literary magazine gained popularity and soon reached a circulation of 3,000 but quickly lost steam and published their last volume in April of 1897, to be followed in May 1897 with the Epi-Lark. The magazine employed artists such as Bruce Porter, Maynard Dixon, Florence Lundborg and Ernest Peixotto for their illustrations. Very good condition / None.
