Description: A beautiful 1977 first pressing of the Buzzcocks 7" EP Spiral Scratch on New Hormones Records. This is the earliest pressing without Howard Devoto's name on the front cover, the label address printed on the bottom of the back cover, and the disc with the molded plastic label. The disc here is in Mint condition, while the picture sleeve is in Excellent condition, with some fraying and two tiny tears to the top, a tiny tear to the right hand flipback on the back, and minor handling. A very clean example. From Wikipedia: Spiral Scratch is an EP and the first release by the English punk rock band Buzzcocks. It was released on 29 January 1977. It is one of the earliest releases by a British punk band (preceded by The Damned’s ‘New Rose’ in October 1976, and both Sex Pistols ‘Anarchy in the UK’ and the first two singles by The Vibrators in November 1976). Spiral Scratch and the album Time's Up are the only Buzzcocks studio releases with original singer Howard Devoto, who left shortly after the EP's release to form one of the first post-punk bands, Magazine.
