Description: c 1933 Shelley China (post Wileman and Foley) hand painted Art Deco spare side plate in pattern "Phlox" blue #W12189, produced at the old Wileman & Co / Foley China pottery works in Fenton, Staffordshire. This brilliant Mayfair shaped side plate bears exquisitely detailed, hand painted flowers in glowing tones of blue, pink and grey on a lustrous, bright white background. Dimensions: 14 cm square. In excellent original vintage condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or restoration that I can identify. The colours remain clear and bright. The underside bears the Shelley England back stamp; the pattern name and hand written pattern number. I have listed numerous sets of trios and a milk jug in this pattern separately. I do combine postage for multiple purchases where practical and will refund any difference immediately after posting. Ref 1574a
