Description: DESCRIPTION - The c.1938 Bear Photo Special Camera was sold by the Bear Photo Company of San Francisco, California, but manufactured by Ansco. This camera was the only camera to have their “Bear” name. The company mainly sold photograph postcards, some with hand coloring. The Bear Photo Special camera was a simple box camera constructed of all pressed metal with a distinctive faceplate depicting sun rays and a bear. It provided a time and instantaneous shutter with a fixed focus lens and used 120 roll film.
