This postcard was created from an image taken by Charles Urban Williams. Mr. Williams was a photographer and postcard publisher in his early career before he opened an automobile dealership in Bloomington, Illinois. The image is of the Maple Street passenger depot for the Michigan Central & Lake Shore RR-a route to Detroit. Built in the 1860's in a Victorian architectural style, the image shows the original three stories that were later modified.Engine #8203 is sitting on the tracks while three men in Edwardian clothing lean against a baggage cart. **Included with the postcard is a copy of the photo of C.U. Williams and one of his Photoette Advertising Cards printed on regular 81/2" x 11" printer paper and folded for mailing.
