Description: This is a vintage original c.1960 catalog of fashions “from the Far East” issued by the Penthouse Gallery which was located at 15 West 55 Street in New York City. This catalog is a booklet format of 40 pages including the covers measuring about 6.75” x 5.5”. This catalog is devoted almost entirely to women’s fashions with a couple pages at the end featuring robes and other clothing for men and children. Almost of the clothing featured in this catalog is inspired or based on Asian clothing including things like the China Lady Sheath, Hong Kong Brocade, Mandarin Bankers Coat, Sarongs, Kimonos and that sort of thing. This catalog isn’t dated but looks to be late 1950s or early 1960s New Frontier JFK era catalog. The catalog is fully complete and intact with a bit of writing from the original owner on the front cover and brief pencil notation on the back cover. Overall condition is otherwise very good.
