Edwin Whiteman and at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts with Chase and Beaux. Following her studies she traveled in Europe and had a studio in Paris. Her specialty was painting portraits of children. She was a member of the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts; the National Association of Women Artists; the Grand Central Art Gallery; North Shore Art Academy; Springfield Art League; the Society of Washington Artist; and others. Camelia exhibited her works at the following: Corcoran Gallery of Art biennials, 1914-26 (three times); Philadelphia Academy of Fine Art Annuals, 1916-25, 1929; All Southern Exhibition, Charleston, SC, 1921 (prize); National Association of Women Artists, 1920 (prize), 1921 (honorable mention), 1923 (prize); Memphis, 1925 (medal); New Orleans, 1923 (prize); Jackson, MS, (gold); Baltimore, MD, 1931 (solo exhibition); others.She is listed in Falk, Who Was Who in American Art.
