Description: Born in what is now Germany, Carl Laemmle (1867-1939) emigrated to the United states in 1884, where he became a film producer. In 1915 he founded what became Hollywood's Universal Studios, then world's largest motion picture facility. In 1936 he was removed from the production company by a hostile takeover. During his career Laemmle produced and worked on over 400 films. Los Angeles Laemmlle Boulevard is named in his honor. For sale, vintage (1920s?) postcard depicting the Laemmlle Boulevard entrance to Universal City. The postcard was manufactured by G. T. Photographs and was published by Western Publishing & Novelty Co. Los Angeles. It is unposted. Other than some very light toning, no visible wear; near fine for age. Don't be shy; give it a try.
