Description: Scarce ticket stub from the first time Carl Yastrzemski covered home plate in dirt at Fenway Park on May 25, 1975.In the bottom of the 6th inning, with Ed Figueroa pitching for the Angels, Yaz took a change-up on the outside edge of the plate for a called third strike by ump Lou DiMuro. Captain Carl obviously didn't agree with the call and proceeded to completely cover home plate with dirt. He then stormed off, but not before he threw his batting helmet hard to the ground. Yastrzemski was kicked out of the game, which was eventually won by California 6-1. This was the first time the Hall of Famer covered home plate in dirt; this is a hard to find ticket stub from that day. It is in Excellent condition overall, with a great look to it.Guaranteed old and original.$5.00 shipping.
