Description: Celestron Skyris 236M CMOS Astronomy Camera This camera is in great condition and comes with everything needed for it to start imaging. This camera comes with everything pictured, but it does not come with the iCap software download CD that it originally came with. This however doesn't hinder this camera's ability to image as it also functions great with some other free softwares that are available, such as Sharpcap. This camera has been tested with the iCap software as well as Sharpcap, and it is recognized and functions very well as intended with both softwares. Please note that Sharpcap, was well as iCap, are compatible with windows only. There is most likely other platforms compatible with apple which can control the Skyris cameras, but I haven't looked too far into those. Since this camera is a monochrome camera, it offers more sensitivity than most color cameras, allowing you to capture the best possible astroimages. These astroimages can then be further stacked and processed to your liking. The final image of Saturn shown was taken with this camera, but it is a photograph of the raw image screenshotted from the cameras live view function. The image was also taken under bottle 9 skies on an 80mm short tube refractor, so please note that the image included won't be equivalent to what the camera is possible of imaging, it is just to show that it works.
