Description: Nice-sized, but not heavy, these flat wire "knots" are finished with gorgeous drops -- genuine undyed Japanese saltwater (i.e., Akoya) pearls. I think this knot is called a Dara knot, but normally when you see it, it will have some straight edges. Anyhoo, it's a knot with no beginning or end. The 7 to 7.5mm pearls are my own addition -- strays from a pricey necklace my boss (a goldsmith) made for a customer. (My boss also obligingly made the little pearl wire hanger doo-dads in sterling hand-pulled wire.) I guarantee the pearls are Akoya because I'm the one who picked out the unfinished strands from my boss' pearl dealer, and I guarantee that color is all oyster -- no dye. These earrings are 2" long and 1" wide. Stamped "925 ISRAEL." No maker's mark. 6.55 grams.
