Description: Leather bound copy of The Life and Adventures of Martin Chuzzlewit, published by Chapman and Hall, London, with illustrations by Phiz, dated "twenty-fifth June 1844" at the end of the Preface (not on the cover page - rare?), in overall very nice condition with some typical light foxing and discoloration at various places throughout, some binding wrinkles to first page, some illustration image shadows on prior pages, and slight uniform waviness to the pages. 5 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches, 624 pages. Binding in very good condition with some minimal curvature, and small dents to top and bottom, and a few tiny nicks to the corner. A very nice and presentable copy.
