Located in Russia close to the Ural Mountains. The massive fireball l, glowing 30 times brighter than the sun. It weighed 10,000 tons as it moved from the southeast and became visible at about an altitude of 62 miles. The fireball had a large smokey trail and moving at about 43,000 mph. As a result of the meteorite impact about 1,500 people were affected. Most injuries were caused by broken glass from windows blown out from the massive shock wave.
