Description: Civil War period rope drum. Likely manufactured prior to the war, this drum was one of a group of military drums on display at the Rolling Drum Shop in the 1970’s. Buck Soistman, the drum maker and owner of the shop, restrung this drum and added older Gus Moeller drum ears. This drum originally had a buff leather sling with a Frankford Arsenal stamp, however the sling wasn’t found when purchased around 1975. The drum is in great shape.
