Description: Possibly Clews Staffordshire Transferware Blue Stippled Ground Footed Bowl 6 1/4" dia x 3" h, c. 1818-1834. Round smooth edge & handled shape on rounded foot. An unusual design in medium blue presenting vase & urn of peonies on the exterior & the interior bordered by three sets of double pairs of five petal flowers. Center interior peony & bead rim edge border. Possibly Clews with impressed crown mark appearing to be Clews but without the surrounding "Clews Warranted Staffordshire" on the known mark. As far a we known the pattern & maker are not known.Fine clean condition but for old small foot rim repairs, otherwise no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. H9491 All Items Are Sent Insured.
