Description: CM Breyer Traditional Western Horse "Sunshine", #57 w/o Saddle, Palomino Custom Sunshine is done in pastels and acrylics, with a glossy finish. There is subtle dappling in his coat from a coppery color to golden palomino. Changes of light affect the coloration depth you will see in the coat. I chose to finish the tack off in black with silver conchos therefore I created the missing chain rein in silver to match. The mane and tail are done in white and creams giving it depth and color. Realistic eyes. This mold #57had variations, with or without the saddle. This one didn't have the saddle. This is an older mold with manufacturing imperfections such as the asymmetries that were literally built into the mold by Breyer. For instance, the breastplate is not totally symmetrical per Breyer manufacturing on the mold. The Breyer Western Horse was introduced in 1950 and was Breyer's first animal mold. The Breyer stamp has been sanded off by myself. The horse has a molded-on bridle and breast collar with metal chain rein, stands 10 1/4" tall. The mold was sculpted by Chris Hess. I hope this horse brings someone joy! I will combine shipping costs if you request before you pay for the order. Once paid I won't be able to honor that request.
