Coca Cola Vintage 1948 NOS 11 x 16 Unused Football Program Two Sided Page

Description: FOR SALE! In this auction we have a nice soft drink item for your consideration. This is a vintage 1948 new old stock unused Coca Cola advertisement football program two sided page. This color ad is printed on paper stock and measures 11 inches x 16 inches. On the front is a beautiful girl holding a bottle of Coca Cola with the slogan "Time Out For Coca Cola". To the left of the slogan is a blank green area and a score grid area that fans could use to log in the scores from each quarter of the game. Below the score grid is printed Copyright 1948, The Coca Cola Company. Below the copyright is a series of images of a referee and his hand signals and what each one means. On the back is the image of a football player by artist Lon Keller. To the left of the player is a large blank area. A similar page is shown in Petretti's Coca Cola Collectibles guide and was used for the Army vs Air Force Rice Bowl All Stars game in Tokyo, Japan 1 Jan 1949. These pages were folded, inserted and stapled inside the football game programs to advertise Coca Cola as well as the football game! The blank areas on both sides of the page were used by the printers to print pictures and info about the teams as well as sponsors and other ads. A smart way that Coca Cola used to advertise their product to large groups of people! This sheet will be rolled and shipped inside a cardboard shipping tube to prevent damage.
