Description: Collectibe PARKER 75 Lacque de Chine 14K Gold XF Nib + Parker Pen Case For Sale here is a very beautiful copy of the Parker 75 in Thuya Brown lacquer made in the early 1990's By Parker in France. It has a solid 14K gold extra-fine nib that writes very smoothly and gold-plated arrow clip and finials. The pen was purchased on April 25, 2000 at the Matsuzakaya Nagoya Department Store in Japan (see date chop on Warranty Paper) for my wife. It came with a color-matching (red/brown) Parker leatherette pen case which could hold 2 pens. Both the pen and the pen case have been well preserved in excellent conditions. There is a stamped code "F4487" on the grip section of the pen. I am not knowledgeable enough to say what exactly it represents, but as widely known among the internet circle some Parker 75s made in France have been stamped a number to show the pen's authenticity if the pen will/might be sold in the Italian market. The pen has been rarely used and kept in her pen display box most of the time. There are two small light color dots on one side of the cap (see picture #9). They are not scratches, dents, chips of anything like that and are not affecting the beauty of the pen. While I have no idea where they came from and what they are, I am taking that only blemish into my pricing decision. A new Parker ink converter was recently added in. Additional Notes about Parker 75:Parker 75 was born in 1963, so named to commemorate the 75th year of the Parker Pen Company. Its production continued untilm1994 when it was officially discontinued. Prior to 1981, the pen was manufactured in the USA; after that, production was entirely shifted to France. The Parker 75 was designed and created with the intention to capture the fountain pen high-end market. It pioneered the following unique features of the time: -- an interchangeable cartridge and converter filling system, -- a gripping section with 3 flat surfaces of which two being ruled, -- ruled section ring, -- rotating nib assembly with the idea of allowing the nib to be rotated to the preferred angle by the writer, -- a dish top and barrel end (finials) with sunburst effect, -- longer arrowhead and feather, -- gold plated clip and finials, and -- solid 14K gold nib. In 1981, production of the Parker 75 was moved from USA to France. A new design was also introduced – Lacque de Chine (Chinese lacquer) – reflecting more of the art history of the Old World and appealing to the taste of the high-end consumers of the time. Again, the design was very well received.
