Description: COLLEGES IN FOLKUS Various Artists DEROY LP 1312 ~ Rare PRIVATE PRESS! Original 1976 UK LP, with laminated front sleeve and original thin die-cut paper inner sleeve. Released on the DEROY Label, catalogue number: 1312. Very Rare UK Folk Deroy Private Press. Album features guitar students from Abraham Moss College, Rochdale College and Plant Hill Night School. Only 100 copies were pressed (details/history of the album printed on back sleeve) Matrix numbers read: A-side: DER 1312 A / B-side: DER 1312 B. Sleeve/Record: VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD CONDITION (*Plays FINE/EXCELLENT to VERY GOOD) Presentable sleeve, has some overlapping laminate edge creases and small stain mark on the bottom back sleeve edge. Top back sleeve has a small edge tear and the seam has come unglued, all spine print is visible. Original thin die-cut paper inner sleeve is tatty and torn, grades GOOD condition. A-side label is plain white, B-side label is same, but with faint pencilled ‘Rochdale college in focus folk class’ on the label. Both sides have some noticeable visible scuffs/marks, all are smooth soft scuffs/marks to the touch. B-side has a few tiny scattered hairline scratches on the first two tracks. Overall record grades visually as VERY GOOD condition. *Record tested plays FINE/EXCELLENT to VERY GOOD, record displays no loud pops and no jumps. Overall some low level surface noise in quiet places/passages and some passing ticks/clicks evident in places. Passing ticks/clicks are slight/low level and only occasional on the A-side. Passing ticks/clicks on the B-side are low to medium and more consistent on the first two tracks. The music cuts through exceptionally well, with no overshadowing evident throughout play.
