Description: A friend who is a former opera singer owned this book and took it to Germany with her to make her way around on a tour. The DJ (not sure one was issued for this edition) is missing, but the boards are in very good shape, with just a touch of roughness on the back edge of the spine and slight shelf wear as shown in photos. The singer dog-eared a few pages, which I straightened out, but you can almost determine her focus by studying those pages. Both inside boards and front/back page contain maps of Germany which are dated from the 1960s. No other illustrations noted. The spine is sturdy, straight, and true. Pages are unmarked as far as I could determine. All other details found in the Item Details list on this page. Stored in a protective sleeve in a non-smoking environment. This is a first edition printed in London in 1964 by a different Collins' editor than previous and later editions. Unsure about the "Huntly" name seen in upper right corner of cover, perhaps the illustrator for the cover.
