Description: Rare non dug Confederate Civil War Artillery coat button. It is CSA208 A1. in Tice's button book. The front has a plain A on a recessed lined field and an uncleaned patina. The reverse has a small depressed CHATWIN & SONS * BIRMINGHAM *, between two rings of dots, backmark. The shank has a little wiggle. This button measures just under 22 mm in diameter. It shows use wear and has some little scuffs and a scratch or two. The pictures are accurate. Please look at my other auctions.
