Description: Congregationalism and Church Action, by John Keep, 1845 on Christian Unity. Here is a small book written by John Keep which is packed with ideals for Christian Churches. It’s a great little book for any church to have in its library. John Keep (1781-1870) was a pastor who preached first in Massachusetts Later, preaching in New York, he was not satisfied. He quit the church there because he was leaning toward the revival movement. He stood for women’s rights and opposed slavery. He started a church in Ohio and became a supporter of Oberlin College. The first black student entered Oberlin in 1835. The wheels were turning even back then. Woke people today have no idea about the real history of our country. They need to read this book and open their minds to the good people and institutions that made this country great, even back then. Free shipping in the US.
