This kit is ideal for jewellery makers, artists and designers. Transform small organic objects such as leaves, stones, crystals, shells and countless other findings and plate them in real copper. Choose from a bright, fresh copper aesthetic or a rich, speckled, boho-style finish.Include a bail to create unique necklaces, electroform gems onto rings, create cute charms from small flowers for a nature-inspired bracelet, or create one-off ornamental pieces that are truly one of a kind. Our kit gives bright, shiny results straight out of the tank - this can be retained through the use of a lacquer and brings a fresh, reflective copper finish. Alternatively, an aged, bronzed look can be achieved through either the use of a patina (not included) or by allowing your plated piece to oxidise. Copper oxidises naturally if it is not treated immediately after plating - so you need do nothing more than spray your piece with water and leave it to air-dry. The result will be a deep copper finish with flecks of light and dark tones - please see the main photograph above for a comparison of the 2 finishes the kit can bring. With this kit, objects come out of the tank with a smooth plated finish, however, if you would like to achieve a textured surface - a style that is sometimes desired, this is more than possible. The options allow for a flexible range of aesthetic finishes in copper.
