Corbaci peppers are a rare heirloom variety of sweet pepper from Turkey with a rich, sweet flavor that can be used for fresh eating, pickling, frying, or sautéing. The fruits are long, slender, and curved, sometimes twisted, and can grow to be 10–12 inches long. They change color from light green to yellow, then orange, and finally bright red. Sow seeds in flats or pots 8 to 10 weeks prior to the expected outdoor planting date. Sow them shallowly, around 1/4 inch deep. Hot peppers, and especially super-hot peppers, have a well-earned reputation for being finicky to germinate, but you can increase germination rates by providing bottom heat (highly suggested).
