CORELLE Corning Cups Corningware x8 HTF

Description: HTF custom made corning mugs cups corningware x8. These mugs/cups were a custom design, made for the Houghton Family reunion. Members of Houghton family are the founders of Corning Glass, Corning NY. marked on Bottom Corning USA microwave safe, very nice condition, no chips ships quick with great care. I Found these in a Junque Shoppe just west of Corning NY, and was told by owner of said shoppe that every 5 years or so there is a Houghton Family reunion, (The Houghton family founded Corning Glass Works) and every party they have cups special printed up for their theme party. I know for a fact 2 people I know also found 8/10 cups, one set at a Salvation Army shoppe in same town just west of Corning and another set of 10 was found in same town in another antique shoppe, which leads to the big party theory. They must have been donated all over town after the party. As far as what the design means I'm not sure it looks to be very Charles Dickens shabby/chic 1830's in my opinion.
