Description: Corgi Aviation: Boeing KC-97L Tanker, in markings of of the Illinois Air Guard, USAF, circa 1957 in 1:144 scale, 1st Issue, 1999. Pre-Owned from New. A lovely military example of the Boeing B-377 'Stratocruiser' as deployed by the Illinois Air Guard in the late 1950s in an air to air refueling capacity. This particular version features auxiliary underwing jets, The KC-97L Tanker was not only derived from the civilian 'Stratocruiser,' but also from the B-29 'Superfortress.' The wings are more of less identical. Model appears in overall shiny silver effect, with blue flashes/markings, in 'as new' condition, as pictured from many angles for prospective buyers to establish condition. Note trailing boom for in-flight refueling, Model comes in presentation box, in excellent condition, all as pictured. This model also comes with all accessories for optional undercarriage settings, stand components, and a mint collector information card, again as pictured. Boxing is excellent, as is inner blue plastic presentation tray. Minor base storage wear.
