Description: Additional Information from InnerSleeve Product Description Cowboy Junkies: Margo Timmins (vocals), Michael Timmins (guitar), Alan Anton (bass), Peter Timmins (drums). Additional personnel: Ken Myhr (lead guitar), Jeff Bird (harmonica, mandolin, 8-string bass, percussion), Richard Bell (piano, organ). Recorded at Studio 306, Toronto, Canada in April, 1993. All songs written by Michael Timmins except "The Post" (J. Mascis) and "Hard To Explain" (Ray Agee). A small portion of the lyrics on tracks 1, 2 & 6 are taken from the writings of Townes Van Zandt, William Faulkner's "Absalom, Absalom" and Gabriel Garcia Marquez's "The General In His Labyrinth" respectively. A refreshed, revitalized sound that doesn't sacrifice the delicate touches that first made them unique; rugged, but still pristine. Much of the new spark emanates from the strings of honorary Junkie Ken Myhr, who peals out intense, biting lead guitar throughout. Especially prominent is his incendiary slide work on "Seven Years" and a spectacular cover of Dinosaur Jr.'s "The Post." Still, it's hard to imagine a ballad instrument more haunting and ethereal than Margo Timmins' voice. ~ Roch Parisien About InnerSleeve We offer unbeatable prices, quick shipping times and a wide selection of vinyl.
