Approx. 10 minutes each, that's over 16 hours.How much fabric does it take? Approx. 11 yards. Let me chose 100 8 1/2 inch crazy quilt blocks for you from my vast collection (only a portion of which are shown in these pictures). They are ready for you to sew into a quilt as they are, or for you to add your own fancy embellishing stitches. (I use them just as they are.) I make these improvisational blocks from many different colors of cotton fabric, mostly prints, some solids mixed in, some modern, some vintage. All in 100% cotton fabrics. There are no twisted seams or dangling threads, and they are trimmed to a perfect 8 1/2 inch square. I will send you a random selection of lots of different colors and patterns, or I can sort into earth tones (browns, yellows, greens), reds, blues, greens, pastels, or brights. If you wish, you can request blocks with at least 1 floral, or bird, or butterfly fabric. If you tell me what colors you have in mind, I will select a set just for you. I guarantee you will like them. I have made many quilts with these types of blocks sewn side by side, or with an alternate block (plain or hour glass look good), or with sashing. They look great with or without a border. Using these pre-made blocks, a quilt goes together very quickly and looks like it took much longer. These blocks are much prettier in person, the photos do not do them justice. Please remember that different monitors may display the colors differently. Hopefully our monitors are not too far off, because these are nice blocks in a variety of good colors.
