Very smooth and easy rotation of both the aperture and focus rings, won't turn off when mounted. Glass very clear to the naked eye, there might be a bit of dust or two and a microscopic mark or two but nothing that will affect the taken image. Though originally designed for amateur regular 8 movie cameras common in the post WWII era D-mount lenses are used today with aftermarket adapters on some digital cameras with small sensors.
