Description: Jens Peter Dahl-Jensen (1874-1960) is a well known name among porcelain collectors. He worked for Bing & Grondahl and then began his own company in 1925. The factory closed in 1985. His work is hard paste porcelain and his decoration evokes colors very much in the style of porcelain produced in Denmark. His work is still sought after by collectors today. This is the Dahl Jensen Dachshund dog, model 1131. It is of first quality (no scratch through the hallmark) and is in mint condition. As with the majority of the Dahl Jensen dog figurines, he has imbued this piece with such appealing personality, and a sweet, innocent face. Such lovely decoration and modeling as well. Measures 2" tall by 2 1/2" long. Just beautiful! No chips, cracks, repairs or restorations. Please enlarge and examine all photos carefully as they are considered part of the description. Please see our other auctions for more dog figurines by Dahl Jensen from my private collection. We are happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases. Currently listed is the companion piece to this one, shown on the right in the last photo. It is model 1340 and is listed separately. This listing is for model 1131 only.
