It seems that the house is really a sleeping dragon (dragons in our time having blended with old mansions, urban skylines, mountains) and his relationship to both the house and the dragon are far more profound (and scary) than he first thought. Then the Ghastly Horrors attack. There is an encounter with an undead dragon operated by the Department of Evil. He finds himself in the clutches of Mrs. Morgentod, the worst, most tyrannical teacher any kid as ever feared or imagined. But he must find his way through, to fully awaken the dragon before it is too late ... This is not a Cthulhu Mythos story but there are sly Lovecraft jokes in it, designed to go completely unnoticed right over the head of anyone who does not know Lovecraft.
