I have been collecting comics for more than 40 years -- buying most of them when they were brand new, reading them once and putting them in bags. My grading scale includes Near Mint (looks like it was just bought and close to flawless), Very Fine (almost Near Mint, but just misses), Fine (too nice to be called only "Very Good," but not quite in the VF-NM category), Very Good (shows evidence of handling and has notable flaws but none are disastrously awful), Good (more flawed, still a solid book for reading but that's about it), Fair (big problems) and Poor (horrible condition, trash it after reading it). Here is what you will get in this auction: These are 10 comics with just about nothing in common. I only threw them together in this grab-bag lot because I'm clearing out a bunch of books and they didn't fit anywhere else! Details: AMERICAN VIRGIN issue 1, May 2006, Vertigo Comics, VG condition (some minor impressions and minor "rubbing" on cover). Frank Quitely cover Steven T. Seagle script, Becky Cloonan interior art. ANIMAL MAN issue 26, August 1990, DC Comics, VERY FINE condition, final issue of the classic Grant Morrison run. This also is an extra-length story, because there are no ads. HOUSE OF M SKETCHBOOK, one shot (not numbered), June 2005, Marvel Comics, NEAR MINT. This was an interesting no-ads book that contains black-and-white pencils and sketches. It may have been a giveaway comic, because there is no price on the cover or the back. MIRACLEMAN issue 9, October 2014, Marvel Comics, VERY FINE (just a minor scuff on cover). This is from the deluxe reprint Marvel series, which includes lots of bonus features (pencils, etc.) in the back that were not included in the original Eclipse Comics version of this issue. RAT GOD issue 1, February 2015, Dark Horse Comics, FINE condition. This was a five-issue series written and drawn by the great Richard Corben. BEAUTIFUL art! RAT GOD issue 3, April 2015, Dark Horse Comics, FINE condition. More Richard Corben. Gorgeous art. RAWHIDE KID issue 1 (first issue), Marvel MAX Comics, April 2003, VERY GOOD condition (there's the arc of where a cup apparently was placed on the cover at some point, making a partial "ring" there that also affects some interior pages. Some people just have no damned respect for a comic book. Still definitely readable, but be aware it has that flaw. This is the great re-imagining of Rawhide Kid by Ron Zimmerman and John Severin where the Kid is a little, shall we say, "light in the chaps." Absolutely hilarious! RAWHIDE KID issue 2, May 2003, Marvel MAX Comics, only GOOD condition because (a) lots of impressions on the cover and (b) many of the pages have small tears or chips at the outer edge, as if they were grabbed the wrong way by the printing press at some point. Not a disaster, but annoying nonetheless. Hilarious book, though. TESTAMENT issue 6, July 2006, Vertigo Comics, GOOD condition (some impressions, a bumped bottom right corner, crease at bottom left of back cover. Lots of bare boobs in this issue, if you care about that kind of thing. (And who doesn't?) WOLVERINE issue 303, May 2012, Marvel Comics, FINE condition. Written by the great Jason Aaron, a god among men. Any questions, just ask! You'll love them!
