The battery charges, although I am not sure about the charge-life. When I tested it today I had it run for at least 10 minutes while picking up one of the 3 stations here in a very rural area. Everything included in this beautiful little portable digital Television set. This would be very useful in an emergency situation for news and weather reports. Would be great in the car for travelling, or in a cabin on vacation, at the beach, or anywhere else away from home.
