James Dana (11 May 1735 – 18 August 1812) was a Protestant clergyman and pastor of the first church in New Haven, Connecticut. Dana was an important figure in the New England church at the time of the revolutionary war and this is an exceptional piece of New England colonial history. There are no boards - It is a 68 page booklet - printed on the front and the back. It is in Fair Condition. There is wear, stains, spotting and browning. There is a red ink stamp on the front cover and some pencil writing, as well. It is held together at the spine by a string binding. However, the string is broken and the pages are beginning to come loose. There are nicks/chips and tears along the edges. The corners are torn and creased. Other dings here and there.
