Description: Very nice pottery jar by Donna Nevasie Robertson. A graceful flaring neck really makes this piece stand out. This piece is in excellent condition with the artist's hallmark and initials clearly shown on the bottom. Donna is the daughter of Marianne Navasie and granddaughter of Joy Navasie (2nd Frog Woman). Joy was the daughter of Paqua Naha (First Frog Woman). Donna creates her pottery using traditional methods handed down through her family. She digs the clay, processes it, hand coils it, and forms it. It is then smoothed and polished using a river stone and fired outdoors. A yucca fiber brush is used to paint traditional Hopi designs in natural beeweed pigment onto her pieces. No cracks, chips, scratches, or scuffs that I can see. Height = 6"Width = 7"Neck I.D. = 3"Neck O.D. = 4"
