Description: Dragon Armor Jagdpanther - Early Production w/ZimmeritNo. 60038, Vintage year - 2006, Scale - 1:72Unit - 3./s.Pz.Jg.Abt. 654- this unit was formed in September 1943 and equipped at first with Ferdinand tank destroyers on the Eastern Front. In 1944, it was re-equipped with Jagdpanthers (the only unit equipped with this type) and sent to Normandy (albeit not at full strength). It was attached to the Panzer Lehr Division in June and then to 47 Panzer Korps. Later it was attached to 74 Armeekorps. In September 1944, it withdrew to Grafenwohr camp for rebuild back to official strength of 45 Jagdpanthers and was back in action by November with 63 Armeekorps. Campaign - France 1944Markings - Tan, brown and green camouflage with #314 on turret with cross and zimmerit on turret and hull. The Jagdpanther had a powerful 8.8cm Pak L/71 cannon within a fixed turret atop a standard Panther V chassis. Production began at MIAG in January 1944 but it took another ten months before a larger plant (NMH) plant could expand the production run in time for the Ardennes (Watch on the Rhine) winter counteroffensive.
