When adding hood scoops to fiberglass hoods, it may be necessary to add fiberglass reinforcement around the mounting area to ensure the scoop is securely fastened and properly aligned. Careful measurement and fitting are essential to prevent leaks and maintain the hood's structural integrity. For optimal results, Duraflex strongly recommends professional installation by a custom shop experienced in handling fiberglass components and hood accessories, as traditional auto repair shops may lack the necessary expertise for these modifications.
