Commonly called by its descriptive name Chain with Star, this pattern dates 1879/80. The sugar bowl is just over 5 inches (12.7 cm) tall and slightly less than 5 inches (12.7 cm) in diameter. The sugar bowl is missing its lid and there is a very small chip or rough spot along rim between two of the scallops, and the lid is missing. There are no cracks, repairs, nor noticeable scratches. The glass is bright and clear with no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There may be bubbles, a shear (straw) mark, and other minor imperfections within the glass due to the glassmaking process used at the time.
