Description: Offered for your consideration is a clear glass butter or cheese dish made by McKee and Brothers (1853-1899) in "Jubilee" pattern. Also known as "Hickman" or "LaClede", this pattern was introduced in 1897. The base measures 7.75 inches (19.7 cm) in diameter and is approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) tall. The lid is 5.25 inches (13.3 cm) in diameter and approximately 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) tall. Combined, the butter dish with lid measures approximately 5.5 inches (14 cm) tall to top of finial. This butter or cheese dish is in excellent used condition with no cracks, chips, noticeable scratches, nor repairs. There is a rough area on inner rim of base and the gold trim has noticeable wear. See photos. Butter dish is used so there may be faint surface scratches, minor wear, or other indications of use. The glass is bright and clear with no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There may be bubbles, a shear (straw) mark, or other minor imperfections due to the manufacturing process used at the time.
