Description: Offered for your consideration is a clear glass sugar bowl with ruby stain made by the Thompson Glass Company (1889-1896) in their pattern number 77. Also known as "Truncated Cube", this pattern was introduced circa 1894. The sugar bowl measures 4 inches (10.2 cm) tall and 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) in diameter at rim. This sugar bowl is in very fine used condition with no cracks, noticeable roughness, nor repairs. The sugar bowl has no lid and the ruby stain is deep and rich but has light scratches in places. See photos. Sugar bowl is used so there may be minor wear or other indications of use. The glass is bright and clear with no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There may be bubbles, a shear (straw) mark, and other minor imperfections within the glass due to the manufacturing process used at the time.
