Early 1850s Parallel Rule, Elliott Brothers, 56 Strand, London

Description: Circa 1853 parallel rule, faintly marked "F.H. & C. ELLIOTT 56 STRAND LONDON". The Elliott Brothers are Frederick Henry and Charles Elliott. They were 19th century makers of scientific and drawing instruments. Shows age related wear and use, with an old age crack on one arm of the rule (see pictures). The length is 14 3/4 inches (37.5cm). The letters "W D" are engraved on one brass hinge. The other brass hinge has scratched letters (or initials) "T M".We are dedicated to providing customer service.
