PLEASE READ THE WHOLE AUCTION AND DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH ON THIS BEFORE BIDDING.FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS. Early Pantera. When I look at Pantera wipers that I see many variations, 90% I know are not factory. Most I have come across over the decades have had British made Trico "Speedblades" The type with 2 rails. Then I came across this Pantera sales brochure printed in 1967.The brochure CLEARLY shows this blade Windwing blade. Using a micrometer I measured the photo and checked it against all lengths of this blade ever made. Only the 13" had the same spacing in the center of the blade between the 2 outer pieces (with red pins). With that said I am 100% confident that these blades are the ones shown on the yellow brochure car.I suspect there was some evolution in the wiper arm and blade combo used for Pantera during the run on the Detomaso. The brochure being dated so long before the cars were sold I suspect the car is likely not the same piece that actually made the production. I think it is safe to say there is always some "tweaking" that goes on. The wipers may have been one of them. So these may be just used on the earliest of cars. Please check out your car first. I can supply this blade in other lengths as well. I absolutely welcome educated, friendly comments on the issue of Pantera wiper arms and blades. I will post comments to help the other owners. I have found another brochure, this one is from 7-73 showing Trico speedblade being used. See new (last) photo. These are hard facts for American Wipers: Most cars and trucks jump up to larger stronger wiper systems when the Electric Wiper became standard equipment. This happens in 1959 for GM, Ford a year or 2 later. With the electric wiper comes larger Drums for the wiper arm to mount onto. They go from 1/2" OD to 5/8" OD and with that the width of the wiper arm tip (bayonet) jumps from 1/8" to 1/4" (98% of the time). I have seen many companies selling arm and blade sets for the Pantera that are 1/2" drum and I cannot imaging they would fit. I would like it if you send me a picture of the tip of your wiper arm to be sure you get a compatible blade. See photo from Trico Book Showing 2 sizes of bayonet. It is also worth mentioning that, USA made cars were not allowed by law (thank Ralph Nader) to have shiny wiper arms and blades starting in the 1967 Model Year. Neither Trico nor Anco ever produced Polished (Shiny) wiper arms or blades after 1967, and more accurately sometime mid 1966. I have OEM refills for these blades to service them in the future. Pantera Brochure in the background not included, just for reference. Any questions? Feel free to contact me, Rob Ficken $10 Shipping and handling in the USA via US Mail
