Speckling on the inside front and back pages. Edwin Booth was the brother of John Wilkes Booth. He is briefly mentioned on two different pages. They supported opposite sides during the Civil War. The book is about Edwin's life as an actor. He was considered one of the finest American actors ever, but all this was eclipsed by the actions of his younger brother, John Wilkes although this book does not go into that. Much correspondence is included as well. The book is in very good condition. Note! A newspaper clipping and a letter have been between the pages for about 40 years.
