Have only used it on dry wood so far, but that is what I bought it for. I have not had a problem with the chain jumping off or getting loose often as I read in other reviews. The only concern I have is that the tightening mechanisms are plastic and I am wondering how long before it breaks or wears out. Wish is were made of sturdier stuff. It uses a bit more oil, but that is OK. At least I know the chain is getting enough oil. I have only used it for 3 days. We will see how it holds up with longer use and less seasoned wood.
