This is a terrific learning kit for young adults, to get them interested in science and engineering. With a variable resistance speed control, you can learn the principles of Ohm's Law. By measuring the input and output voltages, you can demonstrate and learn electrical and mechanical efficiency. Two 24 volt motors are connected together by their shafts, one functions as a motor, the other as a generator. The generator powers an onboard LED. A wire wound trimmer provides variable speed control. Kit is powered by one or two ordinary 9 volt batteries, not included. High quality fiberglass circuit board, single sided design without plated through holes, so it is easy for the beginner to solder and unsolder. Includes nylon hardware for board support, which will not scratch surfaces. With printed instructions. Ships by First Class Mail in a padded envelope.
