Description: Guatemala Pillow Cover. This is a one-of-a-kind pillow cover made with an back-strap loom embroidery I purchased in Zunil or Nahuala, Guatemala. I can't remember. Maybe you know better than me. It was the early 90's when I bought this and had it sewn into a pillow cover. Even then these type of embroideries were rare. They are so labor intensive to make and only a few women knew how to make them. the pattern shows animals that could dogs or horses. You decide. The base of the fabric is naturally dyed indigo. I don't know if hte colored threads are cotton or synthetic. I think it is cotton. I have never washed or used this cover. There is a hidden zipper (black) and there is a label that says Dry Clean Only. Will be shipped with USPS First Class Package.
